Teaching a child to read requires more than just knowing letter names and sounds. Reading instruction needs to be directly and explicitly taught to children for them to be successful in this area! Is your child struggling to read new words? Do they have all the skills that are required for reading? Would you like to learn more about how you can support their reading development? In this workshop we will discuss the core components of literacy and what skills a child needs in order to become a successful reader! We will also provide you with activities and suggestions on how you can work on these skills at home! This program is led by a registered Speech-Language Pathologist.
