Saturday 17 September 2022
10:00AM - 1:00PM

Where: Central Library, Mills Room
Contact: 905-688-6103

The focus of this three-hour workshop is to master the art of reading your work to an audience with Stephanie Jones. You will learn to direct your voice to another person and focus out. After an individual warm-up, participants will read scenes with partners to centre themselves and utilize their grounded, natural voices.

Stephanie Jones is the co-founder and the Artistic Director Emeritus of Essential Collective Theatre. Based in the Niagara Region she moves around as an actor, a playwright and an acting instructor between Toronto and New York. Stephanie established the Niagara Region’s only Meisner training program for emerging actors. She has taught acting locally with Niagara College, ECT and Suitcase in Point. In 2010, she was presented with the YWCA’s Women of Distinction award and received the 2014 St. Catharines Established Artist Award.
