Visit the SCPL outreach table at the 9th Annual Earth Day Expo, organized by Links for Greener Learning, at the St. Catharines Farmers Market. This Earth Day 2024, we are coming together to shed light on the critical issue of plastic pollution and its impact on our beloved planet. This event, themed “Planet vs. Plastic,” aims to educate and inspire the future stewards of our Earth – the children and youth of St. Catharines. This event is free to attend and open to the public. Guided Hike with the NPCASaturday, May 11 | 10:00 am
Louth Conservation Area, 3193 Staff Ave, Jordan Station
Join the St. Catharines Public Library, Lincoln Pelham Public Library and the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority for a guided hike through Louth Conservation Area (3193 Staff Ave, Jordan Station, ON L0R 1S0). Learn about the plants, animals, and natural features like Louth Falls while spending some time hiking outdoors. Participants are asked to meet in the parking lot off of Staff Ave., dress appropriately for the weather, including proper footwear (closed-toed shoes), and bring water and/or litter-free snacks. Registration through out Events Calendar is encouraged! This event is free to attend. |

St. Catharines Public Library is out and about in the community - visit us at Burgoyne Woods (70 Edgedale Rd., St. Catharines) between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. SCPL staff will be providing button making activities, crafts, and access to borrowable items all day long. Plus, drop by for these specific events:
