movie screen and audience

Do you love movies? Have you ever wished you had a place to discuss great films, daring actors, and cutting-edge directors? If so, SCPL’s Cinema Appreciation Club is for you! Each month, we’ll discuss a culturally significant movie that is available in our collection. This is a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge of cinema and take part in a lively discussion about important people, themes, and genres in contemporary movies.

This club meets in-person on the last Wednesday of each month this Spring at the Dr. Huq Family Library Branch. Each film is available as part of the St. Catharines Public Library collection and is recommended to watch prior to the meeting time.

Films being discussed are:

April - The French Dispatch (2021)

May - Judas and the Black Messiah (2021)

June - Little Women (2020)

This club is intended to discuss the film above, attendees will not be watching the film during the scheduled meeting time.

Please call, email, or send us a chat message to register for this program.
