SCPL now offers sensory support kits at all Library branch locations. These kits were purchased with funding generously provided by the Niagara Community Foundation’s Mini Grant.
Sensory kits provide a selection of sensory and tactile items for self-regulation and comfort. The kits were developed by Autism Canada and have additional items from 5 Senses of Fun.
Kits can be used by customers of any age and by anyone who would benefit from them during their visits to our Library locations.
To borrow a sensory kit, customers can come to an information desk with their Library card. A staff member will check out the kit to the card for a maximum of 3 hours.
When you are done with the sensory kit, please return it to the information desk, where our staff will use sanitizing wipes to make sure the kit is ready for the next customer.
Sensory kits supports a key role in the Library's mission to provide welcoming and accessible spaces, resources and experiences for all citizens to learn, grow and connect.

---|---|
1 Person | $35,000 |
2 People | $45,000 |

Please give us a call at 905-688-6103 or visit us at any of our locations to find out if you're eligible for the tax clinic. A library staff member will walk you through our prescreening questions and help you sign up for an appointment.
A few days prior, we will give you a call to confirm your appointment. On the day of your appointment, please arrive a few minutes early to account for parking and finding the correct room. If you need help finding the room, please don't hestitate to ask a staff member.
Did you know all of the individuals helping customers file their taxes are volunteers? Thank you to our volunteers who are donating their time and talents to the tax clinic. This program would not be possible without your dedication and generosity!

If you are interested in a book, audiobook, or microfilm that the St. Catharines Public Library does not own, we can request to borrow a copy from another library in Ontario on your behalf through our Interlibrary Loan Service.
There are two ways to request items through Interlibrary Loan.
Self-serve interlibrary loan allows patrons to search and request items from other Ontario public library systems. Being registered for a self-serve account means you can have 3 active requests at a time and track your requests.
