Interlibrary Loan (ILLO) services return to SCPL

Our interlibrary loan (ILLO) services are returning in full force to the library starting Monday, January 5^th. You can once again begin placing your ILLO requests by calling us, emailing us, or visit us in person!

What is ILLO?

If you’re looking for a title that is not in our collection, we may be able to borrow it from another Ontario library for you. You can request up to 3 interlibrary loan items each month that are:

•        Print material (fiction and nonfiction) published more than one year ago
•        Audiobooks (Books on CD)
•        Microfilm from the Archives of Ontario

Before placing your ILLO request, check the SCPL Catalogue first to see if we already own the titles. If the title you’re looking for has been published within the last 2 years, consider suggesting a purchase. We are unable to request ILLOs for books that have been published less than one year ago.
