Introducing the Read & Meet: A Casual Book Club

Join us on the third Thursday of the month for the Read and Meet book club! Our new Read & Meet book club is a casual, low stakes way to find fellow book lovers and partake in enriching book discussions.

In this new book club format, participants are required to register for the program each month. By signing up for Read & Meet on a month-by-month basis, you only have to register for and attend the book title discussions that interest you. Simply register for the upcoming book club, visit the Dr. Huq Family Library Branch to pick up that month's title, and get reading! While you don't need a library card to register for the program, you will need an SCPL library card to borrow that month's book club title.

Registration opens on the third Monday of the month prior to the book club. For example, registration for the September 2025 Read & Meet book club opens on Monday, August 18th. Spots are limited to just 15 participants per month.

Please note that the December Read & Meet book club meeting will take play on the second Thursday of December to accommodate the holiday.
