Teen Review: Astro Bot

Astro Bot was made in 2024. It was nominated for and won game of the year at The Game Awards 2024. It is a 3D platformer game. It is based off the PlayStation tech demo Astro's Playroom. It has a lot of references to games such as Spider-Man and God of War. There are different worlds at the start of the game, and an alien destroys your spaceship. You have to collect the parts and rebuild it.  

What I like about the game is that it is nice, relaxing, and easy to play. It has cool little boss fights and special hero levels, such as Uncharted.  

What I dislike about the game is that in order to access the final level, you have to find and collect 318 bots and also every puzzle piece. It can take a long time to do.  

The game’s strengths are that it is a popular game, as many of my friends are playing also. They have recently updated it with a speed run and Christmas world.  There are small challenge levels for more of a challenge. 

Some weaknesses are that to unlock the boss worlds, you need a certain number of bots. Some people don't like to play a game where they have to find collectables to progress.  

I would recommend this game for teens 10 and up, a lot of adults would also like it. 

I am giving this game a 5 out of 5 stars!!!
