Teen Review: Jurassic World

Jurassic World (2015)

Movie

Claire is a top manager at the Jurassic World amusement park, and her nephews Zach and Gray are taking a fun trip to the island where some of the world's greatest living things are located: dinosaurs. The lead scientists behind the creation of all these genetically made dinosaurs just created a brand-new hybrid dinosaur called the Indominus rex. It is a super intelligent, massive monster that is bigger than the Tyrannosaurus rex. The whole park goes into a frenzy when it manages to escape its enclosure. Zach and Gray get lost in one of the forests surrounding the park when they encounter the Indominus rex. Claire is desperate to find her nephews and save the park visitors from tragedy. Owen Grady, a Velociraptor specialist, goes on a wild chase to track down the Indominus rex.

After watching this movie probably 100 times when I was younger, I became obsessed with it. All the characters and actors in this movie are great, and Chris Pratt, who plays Owen Grady, became my favourite actor. This movie has a good amount of suspense, and they did a great job at making the dinosaurs look so real and detailed. Some people might criticize the accuracy of the dinosaurs, like the Velociraptors not having feathers, but I found it interesting to see a new take on them. I found it incredibly fascinating to see how our modern world would look with dinosaurs. I loved this movie so much that it inspired me to want to become a Paleontologist when I get older. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in dinosaurs or prehistoric life. I would rate this movie 8.5/10 stars because I had so much fun watching it and it is a movie I always go back to.
