On June 11, Mayor Mat Siscoe will sit down with award-winning Canadian author Terry Fallis to discuss his latest book - The Marionette.
What is One Read One STC?
A community book club celebrating Canadian literature, community conversation and connection. Community members of St. Catharines are encouraged to read the same book, The Marionette by Terry Fallis, and join us and Mayor Mat Siscoe in conversation with the author. One Read is an opportunity to meet fellow readers as well as the author himself. At the end of the evening, Terry Fallis will be available to sign your copy of his book.

We’re proud to partner with the City of St. Catharines to create an opportunity for residents to come together in celebration of the City’s 150th anniversary, celebrating a love of reading and nurturing community-wide conversation and sharing of ideas.
How to participate
One Read One STC is free to join. Simply, get the book and start reading! You can borrow a physical copy of the book from the St. Catharines Public Library by placing a hold in our catalogue. For our digital readers, you can access an ebook copy of The Marionette on CloudLibrary here.

About the author

Terry has written for Maclean’s, Canadian Geographic, Reader’s Digest, Toronto Life, The Globe and Mail, the National Post, and the Toronto Star. He also teaches in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies.
