3D Printing 101: A Beginner’s Guide to 3D Printing at the Library

3D printing is just as practical as it is fun. In real-life use cases, 3D printing has been used to create medical devices, recreate cities using 3D printed models, and solving crime by reconstructing forensic evidence. While these applications may be a little advanced for the regular 3D printing enthusiast, you can get started on your 3D printing journey with us at the Library.

If you have an interest in 3D printing or have a cool project in mind – we want to know about it! The library’s 3D printing service is a low-cost, low-barrier way to explore this cool technology. We have a 3D printer in-house to help you with all your 3D printing needs. It’s easy – simply submit your 3D printing project via the form on our website, our staff will print the project to your specifications, and then we will contact you when your creation is ready to be picked up!
