Fall into our Fall 2026 Program Guide

For children and families.

Drop by the library for a storytime and fun crafts with Bridges Niagara as we learn together about Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead). We will share the magic of this meaningful holiday and the colourful traditions around it.

For ages 6-18

Presented by Hospice Niagara, Remembering My Pet gives children and teens a chance to share stories about their pet, express their feelings, and connect with others who understand what they are going through.

For ages 6 & under + caregiver.

Join Bridges Niagara each month for a lively circle time featuring a new language and the opportunity to explore the culture and country it comes from.

For ages 6-8.

Children and their caregivers are invited to join Mary Cudney to learn about the important concept of saving, spending and giving. There will be a book, song and activity.

For ages 6 and under + caregiver

Bring your stuffed animal for some storytime fun - then your stuffed friends will stay overnight at the library for a special adventure!

For ages 6-12

Come play a fast-paced sculpting game with other library friends! Spin the prompt wheel and build unique sculptures to earn points and compete for the title of champion.

For ages 13-17. 

Drop by the Merritt Library to play some video games, make some crafts, and hangout with other teens!

For ages 9-17.

 Learn to play the world's first trading card game Magic: The Gathering. Our instructor will walk players through the five colours of Magic, the parts of a turn, and the battlefield.

For ages 12-17.

Join us for a fun and casual Mario Kart Tournament in our Gamerspace room. All skill levels are welcome!

This event brings a group of women writers together around a kitchen table — talking to one another about their books, the stories behind their books, and the personal experiences.

For ages 15+.

In these sessions, participants will meet to discuss their eco/climate grief and anxiety/solastalgia in an informal, safe, affirming and welcoming space.

 Join us for a quick mini-session where we will demystify the new library catalogue system and demonstrate the new features.
