Tips for maximizing your library’s resources this summer

Is there anything worse than your long-awaited library hold becoming available when you’re out of town for holiday? The “Suspend Hold(s)” function in our online catalogue is a beloved tool used by library pros to perfectly time the arrival of library books and materials. 

If you know you’re going to be away for a week or two this summer, make sure you pop into your MySCPL account, view your holds list, and suspend your holds until after your return. 

Pro tip: If you need a vacation book or beach read for a specific time, place a hold and immediately suspend it until just a few days before you’d like to have it.
